Looking for investment?

Capital for the next stage. A funding round becomes relevant when a company cannot finance its next stage from ongoing cash flow or the profits it has made. Before the search for investors begins, though, other questions should be answered: What do we want to achieve with the capital? How much is actually needed? And are the conditions for financing in place? That is exactly where we come on board.

Investment ready?

Capital alone does not remove a business bottleneck.

So we first check together whether the company is ready for financing:

  • Is the business model easy to follow?
  • Is the customer value visible and backed by evidence?
  • Are the capital requirement and the use of funds clear?
  • Are the plan and the numbers robust?
  • Which concrete stage is the investment meant to reach?

The decisive question is not only: How much capital is being sought? But: What impact should this capital create?

Equity or debt?

Not every kind of financing needs new shareholders.

Debt can make sense when repayment and debt service can be met from predictable cash flows. Young companies in particular, however, often do not yet have enough earnings, collateral or financing history.

Then venture capital can be the better route. It creates room to manoeuvre, but it also changes who owns what and how decisions are made.

So together we look at the financial and entrepreneurial consequences: liquidity, risk, control and room to develop.

Which investor fits?

Not every investor fits every company.

Business angels often invest early, support founders personally and bring their own experience and contacts as well as capital.

Venture capital firms can make larger funding rounds and further growth possible. For that, market potential, scalability and return prospects have to fit their investment strategy.

Family offices and other institutional investors in turn follow their own sector, stage and investment models.

What matters is not only who can invest. What matters is who fits the next stage.

Clarity first. Then outreach.

A funding round does not begin with the longest possible list of investors.

It begins with a convincing investment story:

  • Where does the company stand today?
  • Which bottleneck is limiting its development?
  • What should the capital achieve?
  • Why is now the right time?
  • Why is the company relevant to the right investor?

We sharpen the financing strategy, prepare the documents required, identify suitable investors and support the outreach.

In later funding rounds, early investors can often keep their share through pro rata rights. As the rounds grow, though, they sometimes lack the capital to do so.

Outperformer.VC finances selected pro rata opportunities and invests alongside business angels or early investors who already know the company and how it has developed.

This brings the access and experience of early investors together with the capital of institutional limited partners.

For companies with real traction and access to an attractive follow‑on round.
